Greetings from the Executive Director
Welcome to the website of The Samaritan House (TSH) of Orangeburg County, Incorporated!
The mission of TSH is to offer people experiencing homelessness, shelter and resources to secure housing. It is a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity registered in the state of South Carolina. TSH is the only residential homeless shelter offering three (3) meals per day for adult men, women, and their children in the tri-county area of Orangeburg, Bamberg, and Calhoun Counties. It is a special place for homeless individuals seeking shelter from any state. We are committed to “Changing Lives … Helping People.”

Since the September 2020 reopening, TSH has had an outpouring of support from the community. As the Executive Director, I thank churches, businesses, organizations, local and state governments, volunteers, and other donors and supporters who continue to give generously to keep the doors open. It takes a village to raise a child, but I say, “It takes a community to maintain a shelter.”
Thank you for visiting our website. I invite you to visit 1580 Middleton Street to see how well we are doing!

Sincerely,
Henry Miller
